研究概要／Summary

銀河の中心にある超巨大ブラックホールは、強い輻射やジェットを通じて銀河全体の進化に影響を及ぼすアウトフローを放出する。アウトフローは星を作る材料となるガス雲を吹き飛ばし、中心のブラックホールの成長を制限する効果もある。この現象は活動銀河核によるフィードバックと呼ばれている。我々は、大規模な相対論的流体力学計算を用いてフィードバックの物理的機構を解明し、フィードバックの効率の計算と宇宙観測の予測を行っている。

The supermassive black holes at the center of galaxies emit strong radiation and jets that drive outflows through the entire galaxy. The outflow affects the evolution of the galaxy because it removes gas that could have otherwise formed stars or fueled the central black hole. This phenomenon is called Active Galactic Nucleus Feedback. I perform large-scale relativistic hydrodynamical simulations of outflows in galaxies, investigating the physics of the energy transfer, computing the efficiency of feedback, and making predictions for observations.
